Kent Teams in Under 16 Finals

Kingfisher and Bearsted have moved through to the finals for the National Championships for Under 16 Teams.

Kingfisher overcame Tornadoes who played extremly well holding the pool favourites for long into the game. Trojans were a difficult side and caused both Tornadoes and Kingfisher some problems.

Bearsted managed to defeat WLW the pool favourites by the narrowest margin meet Kingfisher from their afternoon pool. Kwiek proved to be very difficult as ever and played very well. Sadly injuries to Ryan Banks and Natalie Baldwin took a little of the edge of their afternoon.

B teams featured extremely well in the competition and WLW, Bearsted and Tornadoes B teams all played very well indeed. A real credit to the teams that had quite a few younger players who adapted and played very well at the higher level.

A very good days play. As ever the organisation was an excellent team effort and thanks to everyone who helped on the day from very early in the morning to the late afternoon.

Special mention to Barry Dibble, Phil Locke, Kevin Taylor and Jon Gilbert, who refereed throughout the day.

KKA Squad Update

The Under 11 squad welcomes Saskia de Jaeger to the coaching team working with Sarah-Jane Hubbard, Tom Woolmer and Azi Sieber.

The Under 13 squad welcomes John Haggart to the coaching team. The A team selection has been completed and the B selection will be finalised shortly. Coach John Sandow has requested more time to see players in competition and over the next couple of weeks, will be able to make his selection for the B squad.

We apologise to the parents and players for this delay, but feel it is important that every player has the best possible chance.
