KKA Tour to Vlaams-Brabant

KKA once again, have enjoyed a fantastic tour to the International Inter-Area Competition hosted by our korfball-friends Vlaams-Brabant in Aarschot, Belgium.

Our hosts organised an excellent tournament with high levels of competition throughout, especially in the U19 grouping, where every result only had a korf or two separating the teams. The board of KBKB attended the tournament and were greatly impressed by the very good standards and the ethos of the tournament.

The social event and the organisation of accommodation was first class and our thanks to Peter D'Hollander and his team for their help and assistance throughout the time we spent in Belgium.

Naturally these tours only come together by the hard work of many people. Phillip Locke has once again been outstanding organising most of the aspects of this trip. Thank you Phillip.

A special thanks to our friends and supporters who all contribute so much to make KKA tours work so well.

A special thanks to Anne-Marie, Dot, Jane, Linda, Nicky, Az and Caroline who all looked after Robert so well.

To the players, coaches and players a very well done and thanks.

Under 9s - Tornadoes with Scorpions runners-up
Under 11s - Tornadoes with Kingfisher runners-up in a very entertaining and close match
Under 13s - Tornadoes with the third win of the day in a very close match against Kingfisher, with little seperating the teams, Tornadoes score the winner in the final minute.
Under 16s - Bearsted fought out a tremendous match against Kingfisher winning on penalties after a golden goal period. Wonderful performances from both teams.
Under 19s - Kwiek - runners-up Norwich City. Kwiek proved too strong for the team from Norwich and ran out very convincing winners.

A great day for Kent Korfball and well hosted by the Association.
